If you happen to be overseas and unable to get to Brisbane next weekend, you maybe interested in the following when you are able to get to a good internet connection. Henry V music, and the second movement of Othello are particularly good.

Beethoven - Egmont Overture

Othello (Alfred Reed) - movements: 1; 2; 3; 4 (a bit chopped off at the start); there is a 5th movement (an epilogue), but not obviously available on youtube.

Adagietto from Symphony No 5 – Mahler (Death In Venice).

Music from Henry V (1989 movie): part 1; part 2. We’re doing Non nobis a bit differently. From the movie: Crispin day speech, Non Nobis

Prokofiev – Montagues and Capulets

Lawrence of Arabia (theme)

Tchaikovsky – Romeo and Juliet (part 1; 2).

Ravel – Bolero (part 1; 2).

Also, Poulenc’s Clarinet Sonata: first movement, second and third movements.

Comments

Othello 2 has a subtitle of "Good Morning, General".
