Just a note for me to think about, from a discussion a while back:
When you buy a house / unit or whatever, basically you've committed yourself to somewhere around $40k (very rough) payment in taxes / fees / commissions, etc when you sell it (regardless of whether you're selling to buy a new place or selling it to move out of town, or whatever).
Anyhow.
At work today D. had his retirement farewell afternoon tea. D. could be described as a mix of HH, JL and dad. hmmm.
QWAB rehearsals are back again for the year. Excellent stuff.
In April (for two? months), I’m thinking of doing a course in Philosophy. Depending on what I decide for my next overseas trip, I may do another Spanish course in the second half of the year.
For the next trip, the possibility of the mid east / Europe option is looking a bit more favourable than South America again (just to go to somewhere new). Also, a possibility is: Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, Spain. (maybe a week in each place, 2 in Spain?). Maybe more time in Europe? Times depend on work a fair bit. Earliest is the latter half of next year.
How to Fall 35,000 Feet—And Survive - kind of interesting, hopefully I won’t ever need to know this!
Yesterday, for the first time, I watched the DVD of the service for the celebration of dad’s live.
