So, today we went up Mt Greville. It was a pretty good walk, with great views from the morning tea spot and the top. Although annoyingly I'm a slightly sunburnt now. I'll probably go up again with a couple of friends. So, for my memory if nothing else, is the "how to" to get to the top:
From the car park, follow the track to the junction, take the Waterfall Gorge track (to the right). Follow it along until the gorge (at that stage just a gully) is reached. Follow it up. It forms from a gully to a gorge. Keep heading up, staying left at the split in the gorge. Keep heading up and up. There's a small rock slab at the top of the gorge. From there, follow a small track around to the right, until a rocky outcrop is reached - great views for morning tea. Then, to head to the top, find a small trail (marked by the occasional yellow dot or yellow tag), up to the top, gradually ascending in a clockwise direction. The clockwise track ends at a tee - the main track heading up and down. Turning right goes up to the top. There's a cairn at the top. Just down from the top is a rocky outcrop which has good views for lunch. Descend down the track, heading down at the track junction. Eventually, you come to the head of Palm Gorge. There's a tree with a "P" carved in it to signify the top of the gorge. Head down Palm Gorge, carefully, and then find the track that heads down and to the left. This eventually turns into a more major track that heads back to the car park. Don't cross any fences (other than through the first one at the car park).
About 1 1/2 hours drive from Brisbane. Quite slow pace (with several stops) = ~2.75 hours up, 1.75 down.
